Darl T. Lewis, 79, of Spindley City, passed away December 10, 2022, after an extended illness, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Spindley City, son of Clyde and Hilda Lewis. Preceded in death by sister and brother- in- law, Regina and Tom Malcolm. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, the former Joan Ferguson, children; Pamela (Barry) Glinsky of Northern Cambria, Lorie (Adam) Benson of Sykesville, MD, and Darren (Stacey Lovell) of Altoona, 7 grandchildren; Brett Lysic, Julie Lysic (fiancé Denny Frank), Nicole (Matt) Weakland, Bodie Benson, Skylar Benson, Sydney Lewis and Austin Lewis, 4 great grandchildren; Madison, Mylee, Maycee, and Jared. Darl was the last member of his immediate family. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and sisters in law; Frances Patterson, Evelyn Ferguson, Carol (Jim) Yon, Trudy Prugar, and Brenda (Jim) Nadolsky. Darl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going to his grandchildren’s activities. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed RVing, hunting, fishing, turkey shoot matches, and lunching with his buddies. He retired from the banking business after 40+ years of service. Darl was a member of the Glendale Sportsmen Club, and the Amsbry United Methodist Church. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
