Clarence W. "Bugs" Adams Obituary

Clarence “Bugs” Adams, 86, of Patton, formerly of St. Augustine, died July 8, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 29, 1936 in St. Augustine, son of the late Marcellus “Babe” and Helena  Adams. Preceded in death by infant brothers; Robert and Raymond, infant sister, Naomi, brothers; Thomas, Donald, Patrick, Paul, James, Harold, and Russell, and sisters; Leona Hertzberg, Marguerite Hricko, Elizabeth Niebauer, Doris Adams, and Shirley Drzal. Survived by wife of 58 years, the former Ruth Ruby, whom he married September 30, 1964 in Rockville, MD, children; Regeana (Stephen) Kline of Nokesville, VA, Marianne (Robert) Mortensen of Hastings, Wendy (Joseph) Nixon of Cary, NC, and David (Dolores Suda) of St. Augustine, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters and brother; Mildred (William) Turnbull of Milford, NJ, Edgar “Ted” of Hatfield, Lillian “Teenie” Noel of Altoona, and Thelma Donahue of Ashville. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bug’s was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War era. He enjoyed playing cards, going to Florida with his wife Ruth, hunting, golf, and he was an avid vegetable gardener. Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Jerzy Auguscik O.F.M. celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613 where a Vigil Service will be held Tuesday.
