Claire Hendrickson Nicholas, 96, Groton CT formerly of Carrolltown died October 28, 2020. Born May 18, 1924 in Mahaffey, daughter of the late John and Anna (Snyder) Baker. Preceded in death by husband Hercules “Nick” Nicholas on November 16, 2016, sons; Steven and David Hendrickson, step son, James Nicholas, grandson, Zane Hendrickson, daughter in law, Sandra (Martin) Hendrickson, sisters; Elizabeth “Libby” Crook and Ada Brink and brother, Lewis Baker. Survived by son, John (Kathy) Hendrickson of Mystic, CT, 5 grandchildren; twins, David (Helene) Hendrickson of Mason, MI, Heather (David) Crupi of Little Egg Harbor, NJ whom she raised, Brian (Chantel) Hendrickson of Boston, MA, Scott (Katie) Hendrickson of Baltimore, MD, and Laurie Hendrickson of Mystic, CT, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Agnes “Bunny” Mottner of Aloha, OR, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church, R.D. Mahaffey, Rev. Robert Queen, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
