Brunhilde H. "Hilde" (Schwind) Baum

Brunhilde “Hilde” Baum, 76, Coalport, died March 4, 2022 at home with her family by her side. Born April 1, 1945 in Heimbach, Germany, daughter of the late Matthias and Lieslotte (Loch) Schwind. Preceded in death by brother, Hans Peter Schwind. Survived by husband Stephen, whom she married July 2, 1982 in Ridgeland, SC, children; Donald (Dawn), and Patricia Bewley of Ludowici, GA, Charell (Bob) McGary of Coalport, Daniel (Barbara) Baum of Flinton, and Betina Baum of Berlin, Germany, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister, Giselinde Swartz of Savannah, GA, brothers; Winifried (Christine) Schwind, Wolfgang (Ute) Schwind, and Ralf (Fatiha) Schwind all of Germany, numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. Hilde had a strong Catholic faith, she enjoyed her flower garden, knitting and was an avid animal lover. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or visitation. A private committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association in Hilde’s memory.
