TSGT. Barry J. Segada, 44, of Gallitzin, died May 20, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born October 18, 1977 in Altoona, son of Ronald G. Segada and Karen E. (Stossel) Edmiston. Preceded in death by brother, Brian Segada in 2019, paternal grandparents, John and Regina Segada, maternal grandparents, Chester and Kathleen Stossel, brother in law, Ryan McBreen and step brother, Davey Edmiston Jr.. Survived by parents, Ronald and Cindy (Hines) Segada of Lilly, and Dave and Karen (Stossel) Edmiston of Ebensburg, sons; Dathan and Caleb, sisters; Becky McBreen and Brenda Segada, step brothers and sisters; Josh Edmiston (Nikki), Sarah Edmiston (Theresa), Mary Edmiston, Brian Barnish, Keri Waksmunski (Mike), and Mark Barnish. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barry retired after 21 years of service from the U.S. Air Force, Eglin, FL, having served from 1996 until 2017. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He worked at Maple Crest Golf Course, Portage for a number of years. Friends will be received from 3 until time of funeral service at 5 PM Thursday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, Very Rev. John D. Byrnes, officiating. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery, Loretto. Military Rites in charge of the Patriot Guard Riders-Pennsylvania.
