Arvilla Jean Galuschik, 86, Patton, died April 24, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. Born April 10, 1935 in Gallitzin, daughter of the late John G. and Rose Marie (Verderami) Berardinelli. Preceded in death by husband, Theodore on December 27, 2018, son, Mark Daniel on January 24, 1993, sisters and brother; Argie Delessandro, Enez Yarnick and Robert D. Berardinelli. Survived by son, Theodore Joseph (Donna Eck) of Painesville, OH, 4 grandchildren; Joy Marie Galuschik Short (Matt), Noel Elizabeth Galuschik (Jason Maillet), Nicole Ann Galuschik (Chris Langer), and Rev. Steven Michael Galuschik, great grandson, Grady James Short, daughter in law, Holy Angeloff (Mark) of Saxonburg, and sister Donna DePoolantonio (William) of Ebensburg . Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jean enjoyed traveling to Florida and collecting seashells. She had worked as an insurance agent for American General Life Insurance and retired in 1984. Jean was an active member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Patton. Friends will be received from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613 where Parastas will be sung Tuesday. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Patton, Rev. Ed Pyo and grandson of the deceased, Rev. Steven Michael Galuschik, Celebrants.
