Andrew “Andy” Getsy, 75, of R.D. Patton, died April 16, 2022 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. Born April 15, 1947 in Colver, son of the late Andrew and Columbia (Couturiaux) Getsy. Preceded in death by sister, Shirley Taylor, and nephews; Francis and Mike Litzinger. Survived by wife of 52 years, the former Jane Duclo, whom he married September 13, 1969 at the Uniontown Church of Christ, R.D. Cherry Tree, son, Andrew Scott Getsy (Darlene Pawloski) of Hastings, grandchildren; McKenna (Keith) Easterbrook, Alex Getsy, and Madison “Maddie” Getsy, sister, Adolphine “Doe” Litzinger of Patton, nephew, Tom (Brenda) Taylor, nieces; Denise (Dave) Beltowski and Renee (Mike) Crum, brothers and sisters in law; Tom (Sharon) Duclo, Diane Schenk, Dan (Lori) Duclo and Colleen Yahner. Also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews. Andy enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing, and golf. He worked for Beth Energy Mines 32 and 33 in Ebensburg for 22 years and for Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railroad in Altoona for 13 years. Member of the NRA, Patton and Chest Springs Sportsmens Associations and the Uniontown Church of Christ, 6620 Rt 240 Hwy. Cherry Tree, PA 15724, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday April 30, 2022, Pastor Mike Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Uniontown Church of Christ, in Andy’s memory.
