Amy L. (Weiland) Hockenberry Obituary

Amy L. (Weiland) Hockenberry, 46, of Hastings, formerly of Loretto, died July 5, 2023 at UPMC Altoona. Born August 10, 1976 in Johnstown, daughter of Walter and Gloria Jean (Krug) Weiland. Preceded in death by mother. Survived by father and step-mother, Walter and Donna Weiland, husband, Jason, sisters and brother: Denise (David Sr.) Jenkins, Susan (Patrick) Kinney, Lora (Anthony) Caretti, Brenda (Glynn) Elkin, Craig (April Weakland), and Amanda Weiland. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Amy enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, babysitting, bus trips, playing bingo and cards, and was an avid Mickey Mouse Fan. Friends will be received from 3 until 7 PM Sunday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Loretto at 9:30 AM Monday, Very Rev. John D. Byrnes, Celebrant. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery, Loretto. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the family for expenses.
