Gerald H. Swires Jr. 79, Dean, died March 11, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. Born February 7, 1942 in Altoona, son of the late Gerald H. Sr. and Wilma L. (Plasay) Swires. Preceded in death by brothers; Kenny and John, and sister, Shirley Ann Swires-Mansell. Survived by children; Vicki (John) Nunan of Aldie, VA, Jennifer Stoltz (Nisan Doron) of Locust Grove, VA, and John Myers of Dean, 6 grandchildren, sister, Patricia (Ernest) Wiegmann of Altoona and several nieces and nephews. Gerry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to flea markets, and he worked as a pipefitter/welder for LTV Steel Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio and retired in 2000. Member of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association of Cambria County, Johnstown. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or services. To the friends and family of Mr. Swires,
We are truly sad for your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are frequent for those who suffer due to the anguish of losing a loved one. We all experience this loss but the Bible teaches that soon death will end at Revelation 21:3,4
