Guy Troxell 90, Coalport, died March 9, 2018 at UPMC Altoona. Born November 24, 1927 in Glasgow, son of the late Paul D. and Jennie M. (Grimes) Troxell. Preceded in death by wife, the former Gertrude Rydbom on September 12, 2000, great grandson, Brayden Abbott on November 30, 2003, infant brother, Harold, brother, Hubert “Whitey” and sister, Sue Troxell. Survived by daughter, Trina (Richard) Corson of Coalport, granddaughter, Kristen Corson of Coalport, great grandson, Maverik, and these brothers and sisters: Myra Bartlett of Hollywood, CA, Barbara (Don) Gummo of Bellwood, Gordon (Erma) of Vacaville, CA and Vonnie Lovell of Carlisle. Also survived by numerous brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews. Guy was an Army Veteran of WWll. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great grandson, hunting and mowing grass. He worked in maintenance for J.C. Penny Altoona for many years, also for Leyo’s Grocery Store in Coalport and Patton for over forty years. Guy was a member of the Coalport Masonic Blue Lodge where he served as treasurer for many years. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or service. We cannot express how very sorry we are. I know your hearts are heavy at this time, but knowing he is once again with his beloved wife, is reassuring that he is no longer fighting illness. He will never be far as I know you will carry him in your hearts forever.
