Rosemarie “Jolene” Ginter 71, Coalport, died December 30, 2017 at UPMC Altoona. Born December 3, 1946 in Philipsburg, daughter of the late James “Ed” and Barbara Ann (Brungo) Shaw. Preceded in death by nephew Robert W. “Bubba” Grimes. Survived by husband of 46 years, Richard L. “Rick” Ginter whom she married November 6, 1971 at St. Basil Catholic Church, Coalport, son, Darren R. (Amy Shimmel) of Houtzdale, 2 granddaughters, Kadence R. and Kylie R. Ginter, brother, James A. (Joanne Ninosky) of Glasgow, sister, Leslie Ann (Jerry L.) Noel of Irvona, sister in law, Margaretta “Peggy” Grimes of Coalport and numerous nieces and nephews. Jolene enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, shopping and helping with numerous civic events. She worked as a medical secretary in Trenton, NJ, and as a business secretary and co- owner of CPS Cable Vision, Coalport. She was a member of BCIBPW, St. Basil Altar Rosary Society and St. Basil Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, Rev. Zab Amar, Celebrant. Committal, Fruit Hill Cemetery, R.D. New Millport. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627 where a Vigil Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to St. Basil Catholic Church or the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown MD 21741 in Jolene’s memory.
