Janet M. (Baker) Gongloff 79, R.D. Loretto, died December 23, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 27, 1938 in Spangler, daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Krise) Baker. She married James E. Gongloff on September 29, 1956, he passed away November 5, 1989. Preceded in death by sister, Shirley Gresko and brother, David Baker. Survived by children: Nancy (Lee) Moore of Gallitzin, James (Linda) of Loretto, Thomas (Janet) of Derry, Steven (Mary) of Gap and Gerald (Sarah) of Loretto. Grandchildren: Jessica (Gary) Cutenese, Christina (Andrew) Whitten, Erin (Christopher) Biddle, James (Heather) Gongloff, Justin Gongloff, Ashley Gongloff, Daniel (Katie) Gongloff, Brenda Gongloff, Ann (Bob) Schenk, Victoria Musselman, Samantha (Shawn) Tipton, Kayla Gongloff, and Tyler Gongloff. Great Grandchildren: Emma, Joan, Maddisyn, Isabella, Lillian, Colin, Paige, Abigail, James, Jackson, Caleb, Chase, Aubree and Alaina, and God Daughter, Belinda Gresko/Dickerson. Last member of her immediate family. Janet worked as an aide for Cresson State School and Hospital for 10 years. She was a former Girl Scout leader in Ashville. Member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Ashville and former member of the Altar Rosary Society. Friends will be received from 4 PM until time of funeral service at 7PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, Pa 16613, Rev. Robert Reese officiating. Committal will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ashville. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital,  in Janet’s memory. www.gibbonsfhashvillecoalport.com
