William P. Semelsberger Jr.

William P. Semelsberger Jr. 89, Patton, died February 18, 2024, at UPMC Altoona. He was born December 13, 1934, in Patton, son of the late William P. Sr. and Bertha (Westrick) Semelsberger. Preceded in death by brother, Benjamin and sister, Jane Pavlock. Survived by wife of 68 years, the former Shirley Link, whom he married June 25, 1955 in Carrolltown, 3 children: Patty (Rick) Zupon, and Paul and Perry Semelsberger, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, siblings: Dan (Josephine), Ed (Patty), Harry, Joe, Pearl Lamer, Peg (Jim) McNanus, and Ruth Semelsberger (Bob). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bill enjoyed hunting and camping. He retired from Barnes and Tucker Coal Mines, Nicktown, with over 10 years of service. Bill was a 3rd degree member of the Queen of Peace Council 4890 and a 4th Degree member of the  Prince Gallitzin Assembly 919. He was also a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.
