Thomas F. Britton, 88, Northern Cambria, died February 7, 2021 at home. Born December 23, 1932 in Heilwood, son of the late Frederick and Velma (Trout) Britton. Preceded in death by wife, the former Verda Krise on February 20, 2010, granddaughter, Nicole Weakland, brother, Alton “Jay”, and brother in law, Lawrence Sommerville. Survived by children; Connie (Durb) Kammerer, Roger (Suzanne Dumm), Mark (Cindy Goss), Barbara (Bud) Fulton, Elaine (Cary) Kline, Lisa (Pete) Baumgartner, and Brian (Rita Tinik), 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister, Janet Sommerville, sister in law, Janet Britton, numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Also survived by special care giver, Debbie Greggi. Tom was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, elk hunting in Wyoming, fishing, and the outdoors. Tom was ahead of his time with computers. He was a member of the Spangler American Legion and St. Augustine Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Rev. Jerzy Auguscik, Celebrant. Committal, St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613, where a Vigil Service will be held Tuesday.
