David A. Hendrickson 62, formerly of Eaton Rapids, MI, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2015 at a friend’s home in the state of Washington. Born December 7, 1952 in Key West, FL, son of John H. and Claire (Baker) Hendrickson. Preceded in death by father in 1988, first wife, the former Sandra Martin, infant son, Zane,  step daughter, Stacy Lynn Hildner,  stepson, Sean M. VanKranenburg, and brother, Steven, and step brother, James Nicholas. Survived by wife of sixteen years, the former Kathleen Krawczyk whom he married on December 24, 1988,

Mother and step father, Claire and Hercules “Nick” Nicholas of Carrolltown, son, David (Helene) Hendrickson of Mason, MI, daughter, Heather Matarazzo of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, five grandchildren: Sabrina, Carmen, and Gaten Matarazzo and Jack and Max Hendrickson,  brother, John (Kathy Ekvall) Hendrickson of Mystic, CT, and their children, Laurie, Brian and Scott, and  

stepbrother,  Keith Nicholas of Everett, WA.

David was raised in Groton, CT and graduated from Fitch Senior High School in 1969. He served in the US Army for 8 years as a Military Police Officer. After getting out of the Army he worked in the security field and had been driving semis for the last 10 or so years.

David had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed writing his own songs and music and singing them while playing the guitar. He had a quirky sense of humor and loved telling jokes that you sometimes had to figure out. He was known for always having a cup of coffee in his hand, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 18, 2015 at Mt. Zion           Church, Mahaffey, followed by Military Graveside Rites conducted by Osceola Mills VFW Post 5020 Honor Guard.
